Plants Protection and Agrochemicals Supervision Division

Plants Protection and Agrochemicals Supervision Division organizes agricultural chemicals and pesticides registration trials carrying out and registration of those, issues registration certificates and draws up authorized agricultural chemicals and pesticides catalog. Division prepares and disseminates agricultural chemicals and pesticides efficient and safe recommendations, instructions, methodical directives. Division supervises observing of agricultural chemicals and pesticides import, transportation, storage, sale and application regulations on the whole territory of the country. Division conducts farmers’ regular trainings and provides them with new means, advanced technologies, informs them about international requirements and regulations. Division regularly updates and publishes agricultural chemicals and pesticides exporters’ list and draws up registry to provide farmers with information of reliable importers. Division controls agricultural chemicals and pesticides quality. Division has extensive data bank of Georgian soils and fecundity , pastures structures, demand for agricultural chemicals, plants harmful organisms dissemination according to regions of the country.
