Food Safety and Quality Supervision Division

 

By the order established according to law ensures:

  1. food products quality supervision, monitoring and state control;
  2. food products safety state control (in extraordinary cases only till 1 January 2010)
  3. conformity of potable water safety parameters and quality to requirements provided for by the legislation supervision, monitoring and state control;
  4. water ready products category assigning;
  5. sample taking by the established order and transfer of that to a trial laboratory;
  6. crisis situation management plan determination, taking into consideration list of the actions and measures necessary to manage a crisis;
  7. taking preventive and corrective measures to reduce, eradicate and prevent risks caused by food products consumption;
  8. falsification facts detection and relevant measures taking;
  9. state control outcomes annual account drawing up by the order established by the Georgian legislation.

    • relevant international organizations
