Animal Food, Veterinary Drugstores and Clinics Supervision Division

Animal Food, Veterinary Drugstores and Clinics Supervision Division ensure safety and quality of animal food products as well as hygienic, veterinary and sanitary requirements and rules observing according to requirements of legislation. Division carries out state control over veterinary biological and chemical and pharmaceutical preparations (means); sanitary and veterinary control of animal food products, according to risk evaluation and relevant priorities as well as in the case of reasonable suspect of the products inconformity to valid norms it inspects animal food products. Another function of the Division is supervision of biological, chemical, pharmaceutical, other veterinary preparations, nutrient supplements production, storage, sale as well as imported biological preparations import, export and use supervision through cooperation of the medicines agency of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs, supervision and control over of biological, chemical, pharmaceutical, other veterinary preparations, nutrient supplements production, storage, sale as well as imported biological preparations import, export and use. Division registers manufacturers of animal food products by the established order, controls quality of veterinary preparations. Division takes veterinary and sanitary supervision over export, import, re-export and transit of biological, chemical, pharmaceutical preparations. Animal Food, Veterinary Drugstores and Clinics Supervision Division has worked out veterinary preparations expertise, trial and state registration provision draft, which it submitted for consideration of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs.

Animal Food, Veterinary Drugstores and Clinics Supervision Division prepared about 50 veterinary preparations conclusions to be submitted to the Medicines Agency. It received information from city and regional Divisions about veterinary drugstores, trade objects (zoological shops, veterinary hospitals, clinics, cosmetic saloons and animals’ food  products manufacturing enterprises) belonging to legal entities of physical and private law. It processed the information received from city and regional Divisions and registered the above-mentioned objects.
