On the Basis of the Producer request National Service of Food Safety Veterinary and Plant Protection performed state control of the Facility
National Service of Food Safety, Veterinary and Plant Protection carried out state control of the facilities and products of Georgian Glass and Mineral Waters Company on 25-28 march 2008. This fact should be highlighted because of the state control has been carried out first time.
According to the Georgian Law about Food Safety and Quality (14, 22, 23, 30 articles of the 36 prime article) state control and inspection of Food Safety is delayed until 31 December 2009. Although, 3 sub article of the 36 prime article makes exclusion to perform state control on the basis of the producer request. Georgian Glass and Mineral Waters Company is the first Georgian Company that requested from the National Service to carry out state control. After performed state control the appropriate reports are made about the Sanitary-hygiene rules and product standards which are established in the facility. Laboratory test results will be done in two weeks. It should be mentioned that the activities of the National Service are directed to help producers. The appropriate reports issued by the State Control Authority are essential for production export.
